Hey everyone,
Last week ik had something we here call testweeks or "tentamens" and i was crazily bussy.
I was also extremely nervous for my driving exam. I had failed it one time already and I didn't want to fail again. I was also nervous because I like to keep control over everything and with your driving exam you don't have control over everything so yeah.... welcome to my stressed life.
However I did it, I am now (almost) allowed to drive on my own! I still have to wait for my license, so that's a petty.
A side from all of that I'm doing good, great actually! I've had a bit of an artistblock and now that that is gone I'm drawing like crazy again, so you can expect some drawings soon either here or on my instagram.

Aside from all of the above I don't have much to talk about at this moment.

Drawing, drawing, drawing....
Hey everyone
Do you guys like the new lay-out?
I'm not sure if I will keep it this way or change it. We'll see.
For now let's talk about something new. Drawing!
As I told you last week, I'm going to post some of my drawings here and I'll talk about them.
Before I do that I wanted to give you guys a bit of an introduction as to me and drawing.
I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. Ever since the moment I was able hold a pen of pencil I've been drawing. And that has been a long time considering I'm now 19.
I remember when I was in "basisschool", I think you can compare it to elementary school or Grade School in the American school system. I loved drawing Manga or at least I loved the style of it. I still do, I just don't like to draw manga anymore, and I'm sort of terrible at it. There also was this girl of whom I thought was an amazing artist! She gave me tips and I still use some of her tips today. So she made a huge impact on me and my love for drawing. She made me want to become better and better. She kind of made me the artist I am today. Strange how people can have such an impact on you.
However when I was around eleven or twelve years old I knew I wanted to draw for the rest of my life and I started to put my drawings in a map so I was able to save them and look at them at a later age. Which i love doing by the way. Ever since then I've been keeping most of the drawings I was proud of. I'm really happy i did that because I can now see how far I've come.
I changed my style at some point in time. Because I wanted to be able to draw realistic faces and eyes. I'm incredibly intrigued with eyes, always have been. So that period started with me watching YouTube video: how to draw a realistic eye. Man way I proud of that. After that I started to draw more and more faces. I made a lot op portraits mainly of women.
I also started to draw bodies , which I'm still having trouble with and I'm still learning when it comes to human anatomy. Especially hands. Hands and feet are literally the hardest things to draw!
And then came the summer of 2016. I started to bloom, drawing almost became an obsession. Adding to that was the fact that I became better and better. It felt amazing. Because I have a large fantasy. And I am a visual thinker. I always had these ideas in my head and now I was able to draw them. It's just an amazing feeling to have a story in your head and being able to make a certain character come to life!
Ever since the summer of 2016 I thought of myself as a pretty good amateur artist. I was able to show people proudly what I made! So I decideer to do something I always dreamed of doing which was creating an Instagram account and sharing the things I made. It was also the time me and a friend decided to create a story together.
And here I am now. Proud of what I make. discovering my own style.
Some of you may think I'm not good at it, or some of you might not like my drawings and that is okay. I make certain things that some of you might like and some of you might not like. I'm not saying I'm perfect either because I'm still learning and developing my skills.
I hope you guys liked a little background story.

New times ahead
Hey everyone,
After a long, long time of not knowing what to do with this blog and leaving it be. I decided to get back into the saddle and continue with it.
Well not completely in the same way though. Because I'm going to handle this blog in a little bit of a different way than I did before. I will still post stories about what I'm going through, and i will still give you guys tips or DIY's, wherever and whenever I can.
However I took a step a while ago, a decision I never thought I would make. Simply because I was afraid people would judge me for it. I decided to post art I made on instagram.
Some of you might think, was that such a big step to make..? Well yes it was, for me.
Like i said I was afraid that people would judge me for being another amateur artist who want's to become famous etc. etc. I was afraid that people wouldn't like my art. It was scary, and part of it was also that I didn't want to be like every other amateur artist out there. Because that was not and is not what i wanted. I wanted to show people what I like to do. I mean it would be nice to eventually be able to sell some of my work, so I can buy new supplies, try out new things etc. but that is not my main goal. I love drawing, it is a way for me to let go of worries and relieve some of the stress I experience.
In all honesty it wasn't so scary after all and I'm really happy I did it. People reacted to it in a positive way and it feels kind of special to hear from a complete stranger that they like my art.
that is why I decided to also post photo's of my drawings here on this blog. I will maybe post photo's or stories of a project that I'm working on with a friend as well. If i do so I will give an update on that.
So summarizing all of the above, I'M BACK! This blog lives and I will post again, with added and a slightly different content. I'm also planning to give this blog a well deserved update and make it look a little bit different. So it will look clean and fresh again.

new year, new start.
Hey Everyone,
2015 has just begon but i wanted to start it the right way. I wanted to show you some DIY ideas to spent your time with instead of doing your homework and paying attention in school ;)
about a week ago i had found 'Pinterest' and i'm already addicted to it. So to share my love for interest and the people who post the best things that i can pin here are some DIY ideas.
first: cat behind the lines.
I allways thought these little drawings were so hard to make but that ain't true. You can do everything and make it as easy or hard as you want. It's so much fun especially when you have got nothing to do in for exaple class.
next: hart bracelet
I think these bracelets are awesome gifts you can make them realy simple like this example, but you also choose to make the string more difficult and creative. Despite the simplicity of the bracelet, I gives people the feeling you realy tried hard to make a special gift for them. That's one thing I love about DIY gifts.
something a bit more advanced... i gues...
I personaly love this one the most beceaus it isn't realy hard to make but it requires a lot of time and effort.
You don't necessarily need to make them with butterflies but it looks realy cool!
I made one for a friend with strokes from newspapers and it really looked cool.
the last one: teacup lamp
Are you tired of your old teacups?
Or did you accedentily buy a ton of old teacups?
Well then I suggest you make this. It's something I would love to make or buy one day. I have absolutely no clue how to make it but i felt like sharing it with you.
I hoped you like the ideas. I want to do these things more often. So whenever i find things like these I will post them.

busy periode
hey everyone
I have had some busy, emotional but great weeks!
first of all I've been to Schotland - it's extually the most exciting thing and that's what i'm going to talk about.
It was absolutely amazing! I Always dreamed and hoped I could go there one day and now I did. it was a schooltrip.
we left on a Sunday with the bus to IJmuiden. When we arrived there I saw this huge boat. I was amazed. we had a room with sea view! the boat trip was sooo much fun but a bit wobbely haha. it was my first time on a boat
so it was also scary.
the next day we arrived in Newcastle, England and traveld by bus to the trainstation. it was such a beautiful trainstation. It reminded me of the trainstation from Harry Potter. but after waiting for one and a half hour for our train- it was canceld at first- we finally went to Edinburgh by train. It was a beautiful trip.
finally we arrived in Edinburgh. It is such a breath taking city. a city center with old buildings and a lot of character. I have to admit I kind off fell in love with Edinburgh.
In Edinburgh we stayed in a hostel that wasn't..... perfect haha. We visited Edinburgh castle, camera obscura, Edunburgh University and the high light for me was Climbing the Arthur's seat.
It was the most amazing thing I had ever done iin my entire life. We had beautiful weather. At the top we could see the whole of Edinburgh!
and then at last we needed to go back to the Netherlands. It was sad to say goodbye to Edinburgh and Schotland but also nice to go home. I Will Always remember this trip it was AMAZING.

beginning of my school year
HEY EVERYONE,
So, school started again and i'm already tired. How i did it, please don't ask me becaus i acctually wouldn's know. It's now Sunday and i'm not really looking forward to going back to school tomorrow.
The thing is it's not that i don't like being with my friends and stuf it's just that it's so boring sometimes, and then i loose my concentration and then i'm like sh*t i needed to pay attention because i don't understand this... and jet i'm like, whatever haha.
Nevertheless, when i do find my concentration, whether it's in class or at home doing my homework, which is already a lot, then i'm doing really good.
last week was a bit of a chill week I had a lot of new teachers and so far i'm very happy with them so maybe they will make me better at things like French and math.... that's what teachers suppose to do and they tried last year realy but it didn't really worked out that well.
and then the thing that makes Holland, Holland. The weather. I just don't understand what the clouds and weather system above our land is thinking but it's not very logical.
I mean the week that i went on holliday it was horrible weather, 16 degree Celsius and raining, and not just a little bit of rain but it was raining cat's and dogs! After that we tought it would become better but also the last two weeks were awuful.
BUT THEN!
the weather gods decide, they were like aaw those dutch people deserve some good weather let's give them some ;). BUT WHY WHEN EVERYONE IS BACK TO WORK AND SCHOOL!? IT"S NOT LOGICAL! but then it is.
haha so yeah those were a bit my frustrations of school... haha just needed to let yall know ;)
by the way can someone explain why fall is such a lovely season?

D.I.Y low budget diary
Hey Everyone
it has been an enormous amount of time since my last post but i decided to really focus on school and enjoy holliday as much as i could.
Since i have done that, i decided to post again.
So here is a way to really pimp a lame but cheap diary.
i've bought a diary of 0,80 euro's.

i've bought a diary of 0,80 euro's.
this is what it looked like before i did anything with it.
first i did this. it was really simple i just sewed the beads to the fabric in a certain order and ended up with this.
then i searched through magazines and drew some things by my self i have done someting different every month.
it's so simple! but i thought, i should give you an example .
you will save so much money and you have a diary that nobody else has.
i hope you like it and you can use the idea's
